I am saddened by the news of Bob's passing. Although I feel that I was only in the preliminary stages of getting to know him, I am saddened. In Rotary, I was much impressed with his straight forward genuineness. Given a role, he fulfilled it and was proud to share it with fellow Rotarians. His articles in the newspaper about Rotary addressed the potential for "Service Above Self" and Bob modelled that to those around him. He had adopted Watrous/Manitou Beach as his "home" and chose to work to make it "just a little bit better". The community and Watrous Rotary has a little hole in them that had been admirably filled by Bob. God bless!
