Fotheringham - McDougall is committed to respecting your privacy, and that of the deceased, through protection of personal information.  Our collection of personal information is limited to what is reasonable under the circumstances and the information will only be used for which it was collected.

We collect personal information to communicate with you, to better understand your needs, to offer you relevant products and services, to fulfill legal and regulatory obligations and to assist you with dealing with other agencies and organizations.  Personal information is kept confidential and will only be disclosed to those we deem to have a legitimate need for the information.  This may include government agencies or departments, financial institutions, insurance companies, transportation companies, law offices, persons who provide specific services needed to complete funeral arrangements, and others with a genuine need (unless prohibited by law).  We will only provide information as it relates to the need of the person or organization making the request.

We will contact you before releasing information if we feel that the request is outside the normal context of providing funeral goods and services or if we have any questions as to the legitimacy of the request.
