Condolence: To the Busse Family,
It has taken me quite some time to put into words the sorrow I feel for all of you. It's been said numerous times already, but Brett truly was a very special person. Smiles and laughter followed her wherever she went. I'll always remember the happiness I felt during Brett's trip to visit me in Singapore. She brought that feeling of "home" to me, living so far away. I cherish the memories with her and will keep them close to my heart.
I'm thinking of all of you and sending my love.
Kristine

Condolence: Dearest Cousin Brett,
It has been over a week since you passed and after much thought I finally know what I want to say to you.
You were funny. You were sweet. You were a gem, a treasure… I could go on and on and on… I am so lucky and honoured that I got to be your cousin. I will never forget driving you to the lake to visit with me when you were a little girl, seeing you at Grandma & Grandpa’s house, visiting with you at my bridal shower and my wedding and seeing you at all the many family occasions. I love the times you came to Calgary with your sisters and Mom where we would go shopping at CrossIron Mills (and we laughed and laughed about a ‘candlestick’, Kendel will know what that means!). One thing I observed over the years is the perfect bond you had with your siblings and your parents. Everyone loved you, everyone wanted to be around you... including me. Whenever I hear a New Kids on the Block or a Backstreet Boys song I will think of you. That was our big connection, even when you were very young. I will never forget the time we went to the New Kids on the Block concert together in Saskatoon. You blew Donnie a kiss, he caught it and blew one back to you… of course we were thrilled. I will also never forget when you came to the lake and we went tubing together with Jensen. I can still picture us talking away while we were getting pulled around the lake by my Dad’s boat.
I had not spoken with you over the past couple years because life just seemed to get busy and time flew by… but please know that I always thought about you and hoped you were doing well...
The stories told about you at the service were so heartfelt, it was wonderful to see how many lives you touched. You will never be forgotten. Your beauty, your humour, your dimples and your spirit will always live on.
RIP my special cousin Brett. I love you a lot and will miss you.
Love, Cousin Kristy
XOXO

Condolence: I didn't want to say anything online for the last couple of days but now that I'm seeing things from other people after today I feel like I have to share a piece of my heart as well.
I know these are kind of old pictures, but they're actually a perfect symbolism of where I'm at. Brett was such a huge part of all our lives, and though I didn't get to spend much time with her over the last few years, I never felt distant from her when I did see her, or out of touch. She stayed so true to her personality the whole time. She was always one of those people you felt like you picked up right where you left off. Yes, she grew a lot, but her essence and soul never altered.
You never had a fake conversation with her. She was confident to stay true to herself, and I think the credit of that confidence is owed greatly to her family. She knew where she came from and she was proud of it. A Busse sister from Simpson, Sk.
Anyway, I want to go on and on about her but everything I'm feeling and going to miss is how so many are feeling. One thing I have to say, is of course such strong condolences to her parents but my message is dedicated specifically to her sisters, Carmen Busse,Rae, and Kendall. I understand your unity, you girls are a force to be reckoned with and I've always admired the #BussesistersfromSimpson. ALl my love and support from BC.

Condolence: So sorry for your loss. Brett was my co-worker for the last 8 years. She truly was a gem. She always had a smile on her face and was just such a positive person to be around and she made each day at work fun. She had such a good heart always trying to help others in any way she could. I could always hear her laughing or making other people laugh throughout the day and I will truly miss that at work. I will cherish all the memories I had from working with her. It definitely won't be the same without her.
