Obituary for Hilda Hodgins
HODGINS: Hilda Elizabeth (Senft)
1927 - 2023
The family wishes to announce that Hilda Hodgins, late of Semans, SK passed away peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Nokomis Health Centre at the age of 95 years.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Douglas; parents John and Mary Senft; son Russell Hodgins; son-in-law Donald Foster and siblings, Johnny, Eugene, Fernie, Delmont, Alma, Billy, Marie, Helen and Delphine.
Hilda is survived by her children Roberta Foster, Clare (Heather) Hodgins and daughter-in-law Bev Hodgins. Precious memories will remain with her grandchildren Debra, Corey, Lee Ann (Mike), Tammy (DeWayne), Chris (Amy) and Leah (Kyle); great grandchildren Kayla (Nathan), Melissa (Kyle), Michael (Michelle) and Kylee as well as her five great great grandchildren. Hilda will be missed by her siblings, Caroline King, Earl Senft, Victor (Gloria) Senft, sisters-in-law Ada, Margaret and Mary; brother-in-law Bryan (Kim) and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Hilda loved hosting family and friends in her farm home. She enjoyed her garden, flowers, baking, painting, cake decorating and many years as a 4H leader.
The family would like to thank the Semans First Responders and the staff at the Nokomis Health Centre for their compassionate care.
A Family Graveside Service will be held at the Semans Cemetery at a later date.
