Karen Tripps formerly of Liberty, SK passed away peacefully at Long Lake Valley Integrated Facility, Imperial, SK on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the age of 82 years.
Lyne Karen Tripps was born January 13, 1940, to William (Bill) and Ruth Shimek of the Liberty District, SK. She was educated at the Liberty Free Soil School and Success Business College. Karen also lived for short periods of time in Regina and Penzance, SK and Vancouver, BC. Along with her occupations of accounting and farming, Karen also enjoyed gardening and flowers.
October 12, 1960, she married Douglas Ray Tripps (deceased September 25, 2002). She was also predeceased by her parents William (Bill) Herbert Shimek in January of 1971 and Ruth Viola (Weinand) Shimek in February of 2004.
Karen is survived by her children Andrew (Michele) of Lloydminster, AB, Kelly (Cindy) of Imperial, SK, George of Liberty, SK, and Shirley (Doug) Jamieson of Penticton, BC., along with one sister, Myrna (Gered) Beeby of San Diego, CA, USA, niece Melisa (Pat) Ford and their children Ayzly, Levi, Oliver and Charlie. She is also survived by grandchildren Daniel (Jody) Tripps of Sturgeon County, AB, Micheal Tripps (Jessica McMahen) of Lloydminster, AB, Tina, Nanci, Toni Provost of Regina, SK, and Shaun Jamieson of Penticton, BC., plus great grandchildren: Sawyer, Emmett, Maddox, Tatum, Dustin, Tasha, Cristian, Antony, Nick, Astin, Kaleb, Keatyn and Hunter.
A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held at the Liberty Memorial Hall, Liberty, SK on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Liberty Cemetery.
