McCALLUM: Audrey P.
June 28, 1935 – February 28, 2022
Audrey Pearl McCallum (French) passed away February 28, 2022. Audrey was born on June 28, 1935, to Ben and Pearl French in Simpson, SK. Audrey attended school in Simpson until Grade 10 and then went to work at the telephone office in Simpson. She married Robert McCallum on February 22, 1955. They moved to Imperial shortly after. Audrey worked in the telephone office in Imperial and later for Shore’s grocery store. Audrey also worked for Canada Post for several years. They had one son Dean Robert. She enjoyed her time in the community curling, baking, visiting with friends and being active in the United Church. In 2018 Audrey moved to Biggar and resided in Sunshine Family Care Home. She made some good friends and enjoyed many good times. She loved to sing, dance, bake, watch curling, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Left to cherish her memory and life, her son Dean (Penny), Biggar, SK. Her three granddaughters, Stephanie (Paz), Saskatoon, SK, Kelsey (Ryan), Martensville, SK, Hailey (Tyler), Saskatoon, SK; great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Bennett and Aiden; her sisters, Irene Galt, Shirley Crawford, and Myrna Rink. Audrey was predeceased by her parents, Ben and Pearl; her loving husband Robert McCallum; her siblings, Hazel, Rita, Arnold, Stan, and Vernon. She was also predeceased by numerous brother and sister-in-laws. Memorial donations can be made to Imperial United Church or Biggar United Church. A Celebration of Life Service for Audrey will be held at the Imperial Community Centre, Imperial Saskatchewan on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Private Family Interment in Simpson Cemetery.
