To All of Edna’s Family,
Fred and I will miss her so very much. She was like a Grandma that I never had growing up. We were so encouraged by her Love and faithfulness she had with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She was always encouraging in what she had to say or share. We loved that she was so very independent and was always up for the challenge and would say “I can do it” and would do it with enthusiasm and love. She hardly ever missed a Sunday service even if she wasn’t feeling well ! She hated to miss out on anything that might have been taking place. One thing she she would rarely miss was when we would have Potluck after church once a month. She loved food and so she was in her glory because she knew we would alway send home lots of left overs for her for later on that day. She will be sadly missed but we look forward to seeing her one day in heaven.

I wish God’s comfort for the family and friends of Edna. I was blessed to know her as our sweet Bible study and church friend for over ten years. I saw her last at Doug’s retirement. I live back at home in Thunder Bay now. I was excited to join watrous baptist yesterday on zoom for Edna’s memorial!

To Mel & Delores and family, Brian & Margaret and family
Thinking of you all today as you celebrate your mom/grandma/great-grandma....the memories of Auntie Edna are many and go back far...I remember the many times mom would put more plates on the table as she saw your family vehicle driving up the lane...those were good times and are good memories. You were all like an extension of our family. I remember Aunt Edna helping mom dish up food and clean up together after. I remember her hugs and kisses everytime we saw her, even as we grew older, and always knowing that she loved and cared about us. I remember her giggles and how she also did not like being the center of attention...she preferred the background. I remember her playing piano for Sunday and weekday services at church, and practicing and playing for men's quartets. She was an excellent cook. She worked hard to care for her family and she loved doing it!, a big garden and all the canning that went with it, working hard on the farm doing her part to provide for you all and make a life for you. She cared about others and would rather find out what was going on in other's lives than talk about herself and her own life. She loved God and served Him in many ways throughout her life, and her love for God was evident in so many ways in her life each day. She was thankful for God's blessings to her each day and she showed that same thankfulness to others as well whenever they did something for her. She lived her life well for our Lord Jesus Christ, and her life was a testimony of His grace to others. We are so very thankful to God for blessing her in the last several years with friends and family and community members who loved her and to whom she mattered, and that she was able to just enjoy that and to freely return that friendship and love to others. God has blessed her, and she has walked through this life with Him, the hard and the good parts and remanined faithful. She lived her life well and though it can be hard to let her go, we rejoice that she is in Heaven with Jesus! We know that her she will continue to live her life with enthusiasm ,and great Joy, and no pain or weariness in her body!! We will see her again. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you adjust to life without her. God bless you all.
Love, Ross and Brenda and family

Edna was a very special lady. It was amazing to watch how God worked through her as she reached so many people with her faith in the Lord. She always had a smile on her face, but could be pretty stubborn as well!!! She didn't hesitate to tell you what she thought. I know that she was getting tired towards the end and frustrated that she didn't have as much energy as she would have liked, but kept on smiling. May she finally rest in peace now with Her Lord. She will be sadly missed.
