Obituary for Anthony Allin
ALLIN: Anthony I.
Nov. 20, 1978 – May 2, 2020
Anthony Ivan Allin was born on November 20, 1978 to Ivan and Rita Allin in Watrous Saskatchewan. It was so “friggin’” cold that morning the nurse had to deliver the little butterball because the Doctors vehicle would not start.
Anthony joined his two sisters on the farm on the picturesque north side of Little Manitou Lake and two years later he got a little brother. There is a special bond amongst siblings but somehow the bond of farm siblings is even more special. Growing up on a farm brings a different kind of adventure, mischief, and value.
Anthony attended school in Watrous. He was involved in sports his favorites being football, curling and bowling. He excelled in his schoolwork and always had a knack for numbers and problem solving. Growing up he had many school and farm neighbor friends, those friendships remained strong throughout the years.
After graduation, Anthony continued his education at the U of S in Agriculture and then went to work at the Sask Wheat Pool Research Farm. This is where he met his wife Juanita; they continued to work together for several years until Anthony started to work in a different Agriculture sector for local farmers.
In December of 2003 Anthony’s smile grew bigger when their daughter Shelby was born. In July of 2007 he proudly showed off their son Sawyer, followed by, and equally as proud of their son Tucker in 2011 making their family complete. Anthony adored all three of his children; he had a special bond with each of them. They brought him such joy, admiration, and love. Together he and Juanita instilled value and so much love. They taught them how smiling and kindness is contagious.
Together Anthony and Juanita got involved with farming and cattle with his parents on the family farm. He had a niche for making bales and getting the cattle to co-operate – his encouraging whispers into the cow’s ears and tractor singing attributed to this. In 2015 he took over operations at the Bowling Alley and worked hard to make it a fun place for everyone of all ages to enjoy. He recently started Bartending at Danceland and made many knew friends there as well.
It was hard not to love Anthony. He would greet everyone with the biggest smile, friendliest wave, and tightest hug. He had an old soul with a huge heart and would do anything for anyone and never expect anything in return. He had friends aged 1-105 he adored and respected each and every one of them unconditionally. His bowling Seniors and Interlake gang had a special place in his heart. But it was his family and the farm he loved the most – with heart as big as his there was room for everyone.
Anthony will be forever remembered and cherished by his wife Juanita, daughter Shelby, sons Sawyer and Tucker. His parents Ivan and Rita, sister Dawn (Kris), sister Fawne (Marshal), brother Ambrose (Lindsay). Nephews and Nieces Evan (Kiana), Kyle (Michaela), Cody (Sydney), Kiara (Jaise) Griffin and Nina and great niece Lorraine. Parent in Laws Roy and Sharlene Erickson, Sister in Law Nancy (Tom), Brother in law Greg (Colleen), Brother in Law Russell (Miranda), nephews Clay, Dalton, Aidan, and Declan. Plus, numerous Uncles, Aunts, and cousins. Anthony was predeceased by his grandparents Merle and Shirley Allin, Ambrose and Elizabeth Balogh, Brother in Law Dean, and nephew Tyler.
