Obituary for Ann Hobman (Hodge)
Ann Hobman (Hodge) loving wife, mom and grandma passed away at St Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon on Wednesday June 19, 2019, at the age of 77. Left to mourn her are sons Doug (Sherry), Samantha (Mylyn), great granddaughter Tori, Stacey (Jace); Mark (Faye), Quinten, Emmett; Dean (Kimli), Paige, Holly (Tyler); daughter Crystal (Harvey), John, Scott. Sister Ina, brothers Roy, Lyle (Betty), Neil (Bev), inlaws Dennis (Audrey), Elaine and Connie. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, families and friends. She is predeceased by husband Clayton, father Arthur, mother Mary, brother Grant, brother inlaws Albert, Dave and Herb.
She was born December 7, 1941 on a stormy day in Nokomis Hospital. Ann married the love of her life on October 18, 1960 and resided at the farm helping in many capacities until her passing.
Even though she never held any official titles on any boards she was behind the scenes get it done kind of person from clerking to timing and announcing. Ann was a committee member at Canadian Western Agribition and Buffalo Days for many years. She was inducted along with Clayton to the Saskatchewan Livestock Assoc. in 1996. As well they received the Community Service Award at Canadian Western Agribition.
Family was extremely important to her and she was always there to help, encourage and cheer for her children and grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held in Nokomis Arena, Nokomis, SK on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jack Robson officiating. Private Family Interment in Lockwood Cemetery.
