The death of Anabelle Fisher, aged 98 years, formerly of Watrous, SK occurred peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Lanigan Hospital.

Annabelle was born to William and Mary Manson of Plymouth District on the family farm. She attended Plymouth school until grade eight. She married Cecil Fisher on October 22, 1942. They had two children Russell and Darlene.

After returning from the war they farmed north of Manitou Lake. She played an active role with the farming duties whether it was the fieldwork or barn chores. Annabelle also worked for Gus and Gertie Uhman at Manitou Beach. They retired to Watrous in 1974.

Both on the farm and in Watrous she enjoyed keeping a vegetable garden and flowers. She spent countless hours preserving fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed all sports especially curling as well as watching the grandchildren’s activities.

Over the years she kept busy with quilting, knitting and crocheting, and leather work. She lived in her own home until August 27, 2018 when she went to live on Memory Lane at Lanigan Hospital.

Predeceased by father William, mother Mary, husband Cecil, half brother Roddie and his wife Muriel, brother Bill and wife Jean and second wife Ellen, and nephew Garry.

Survived by son Russell (Colleen), daughter Darlene (Doug) and grandchildren Dianne (Arling), Wanda (Terry), Brenda (Jeff), Melissa (Dustin), Chad (Carleen) and great-grandchildren Kale, Mackenzie, Blake, Maddison, Wade, Paisley, Kailey, Zachary, Avery, Mason and Henlee. Also survived by nephew Don Manson and family and Melanie Manson and family.
