Arthur William Kelln

“Don’t worry, you’re not on speakerphone.”
Arthur (Jake) William Kelln passed away peacefully in his home at Govan, Saskatchewan on July 5, 2016. Art was born on January 6, 1954. He was a son to Helen & Jacob Kelln, a brother to Garry Kelln (Marlene) and Margaret Babiuk (Ernie), a father to Tessa Silversides (Derek) and Devin Kelln (Penny), and a husband to Debbie Kelln. He was a beloved grandfather (Keagin and Taya), a cherished uncle (Derek, Nathan, Michelle, Marek, Jacob and Eva), and a friend to so many more.

It’s here that we could write about the farm he loved, or his knack for small engine repair (especially when it came to vintage snowmobiles). We could write about the good old days or his final days, but if you knew Jake, you knew that all he would have wanted was to crack a couple jokes, hear about your day, and to see his friends smile. He was quick with a joke, generous with a cold beer, and forever on speakerphone with a friend; yet somehow still always available with two free helping hands. Jake really wanted nothing more than see the world smile. So it's in these difficult times, as we get together with friends and family, that it’s important to laugh, to smile, and to keep your hearts open to one another in just the same way that Jake’s door was always open to you.
