Obituary for Thomas Robert "Bob" Clavelle

Thomas Robert "Bob" Clavelle
Thomas Robert (Bob) Clavelle, first born son of the late Walter Benjamin Clavelle and Myrtle Margaret Matilda Clavelle (née Butler) was born on December 28th, 1947 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He attended Farina School in the Plunkett area, graduated high school in 1967 at St. Peter’s in Muenster and studied computers at SIAST in Moose Jaw in 1968. He obtained a 3rd class Power Engineering ticket after completing correspondence classes. Bob married the love of his life, Renée on April 9, 1969. They were wed for 47 years and raised two children, Patrick and Tammy. Bob was employed with Potash Corp. at Lanigan for 44 years and farmed in the Plunkett area for most of his life. Bob was a proud, hard working and generous man who always made time to lend a helping hand to friends, neighbours and strangers alike. It was often said that ‘everyone needs a Bob & Renée in their life’ and those who were a part of his life were fortunate indeed. One would think there would be little time left after working long hours at the mine, toiling on the beloved farm and aiding anyone in need of assistance, and yet, he somehow was always able to make more time available for the things he cherished. Bob’s spare time was spent doting on his grandchildren, attending their numerous sporting & school events and hauling his camper & boat across the province and beyond to revel in the serenity of nature, to delight in a leisurely fishing expedition & be entertained by the telling of tales by the roaring fire. Through his indomitable spirit he was able to engage in these good times until the end of his life and gift those most treasured memories to his family and friends. Bob’s motto was always “Anything worth doing was worth doing right.” No one would argue that he lived up to that motto. Bob will be forever lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Renée and their children Patrick (Dellee) and Tammy (Travis). Memories of Bob will also be adoringly cherished by his mother, Myrtle, by his 5 grandchildren, Danielle, Kirstin, Benjamin, Megan and Maxwell, by his brothers, Howard (Linda), Bruce (Trudy) and Terry (Janice), by his in-laws, Robert (Cecile), Camille and Sylvie (Normand) and by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
