Obituary for Kenneth George "Ken" Siegfried

KENNETH GEORGE SIEGFRIED, age 73, passed away quietly on August 27, 2016 in the Watrous Hospital. He was born May 22, 1943 in Drake, Saskatchewan to Mary and Fred Siegfried. Ken was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife, Janice, his son Jeff and daughter-in-law, Karen and his daughter, Gina and his son-in-law Carmelo. Ken is also survived by his sister, Zelma (Erwin) Klinger and brother, Gordon (Diann) Siegfried and many nieces and nephews and their families. Ken's 3-Star selection who lit up his life were his grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph and Angelina who are left with countless memories of their funny Papa.

Ken worked at Mainline Motors in Watrous for 18 years. They moved and found jobs in other centres including Langley, BC and Calgary, AB and returned to retire in Watrous. Ken enjoyed a roaring campfire, a large fish on his hook and a golfclub in his hand. He will always be remembered for his love of a fantastic practical joke whether he was the joker or the one being pranked.
Ken's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 30 in a private service with family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Project at the Watrous Hospital in care of Fotheringham's Funeral Home.
