SOMERS : Gayle Evelyn

Gayle Somers, aged 67 years, of Young, passed away at St. Paul's Hospital Saskatoon Saskatchewan on Monday, June 20th, 2016.

Gayle was a good woman, a wife and mother and she was really proud of her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping and the outdoors. She was born in Rosser, Manitoba on April 14, 1949 to parents Ernest Edward Frain and Esther Julia Isabelle Frain. She had a brother Arthur Lorenzo (Joe), and a sister Susan. She met her husband, Jim, in 1974 and they were married quickly because they knew they were the loves of their lives. She had a son Edward James in 1975 and a daughter Victoria Leigh in 1977. She moved to Saskatoon, SK in 1980 with her family and started a new life. In 1989, the family moved to Langham where they spent about 15 years until they moved to Saskatoon. Gayle moved to Young, SK about 7 years ago and loved the peace and quiet so much she stayed. She has been undergoing dialysis treatments for a few years until she was diagnosed with cancer. It has been a short battle but she is at peace. She died June 20th around 10pm surrounded by her family. She was always a friendly person and met many people in her experiences. She had 3 grandchildren and one she considered hers.

Gayle is survived by her husband, Jim and her two children, Edward and Victoria. Her 3 grandchildren, Taylor, Sierra and Gabriel. As well as a sister Susan Lazuruk (nee Frain) and her family.
